Hallow's Eve: A Halloween Fairy Tale ReviewThis is an utterly charming story about Laluna, a well-meaning witch whose magic somehow misses the mark. When she brews a love charm and accidentally ends up calling to life a zombie on Halloween night, she embarks on an adventure that will help her discover her own true talent. With a cast of engaging characters and a quaint spin on the classic fairytale structure, this story would make the *perfect* campfire read. And yet for all its sweet charm and almost nostalgic sense of Halloween wonder, it has surprising depth and nuance and never becomes too saccharine. This is a beautifully cadenced story with a well-balanced blend of light and shadow and a heart of pure truth. Ultimately, it's about the power of friendship and the magic of following your own dreams.If you are in the mood for original whimsy and unforgettable characters (and cupcakes that will make your mouth water!!), I highly recommend this story.
