Not My Guru: Living Inside The Osho International Ashram ReviewThe book is complete and utter tripe. The author's writing made me feel like I was reading the day journal of bratty 13 year old girl. The author ran away to the ashram to escape her failure in the western world, but once there, she doesn't change her ways. Instead, she finds she has a higher status than the Indian nationals, most of whom are in utter poverty, and enjoys the positive attention they provide to her ego as they court her for sales of their trinkets or to pass their hard lives. The author returns their humanistic kindness with a plethora of nothing.If you enjoy page after page of extensive narcissistic insights such as how much chaffing the robes gave the author, or her extensive adventures buying trinkets from poverty stricken merchants, or her insightful, lyrical writings about Indian culture such as, "..when I go out, I turn right at the main gate. That's the way to the street vendors..." all while she abstains from any real insight into her sad life or attempts to change it, you will love this book.
No insights to the ashram, to Osho, to spiritualism, India, or as far as I can tell any other topic a potential reader of this book might expect it to contain, unless of course you share the authors compulsive preoccupation with herself.Not My Guru: Living Inside The Osho International Ashram Overview
