Elizabeth's Encounters ReviewI found "Elizabeth's Encounters" to be a very interesting and enjoyable novel. The first few chapters are described as being the experiences of the author's great-grandparents during their migration from Germany to the United States in 1860. The earlier marriage of Sebastian and Elizabeth in Germany, prior to their near fatal voyage, was performed under most unusual circumstances, creating obstacles which the two lovers manage to overcome. Following their arrival in the US, many events bring disappointment and sadness to Elizabeth, the main character of the story. In spite of the many difficulties that she faces, she shows determination and resolve to create a new world for her two children. After her husband Sebastian enlists in the Civil War and does not return, she meets a suave and handsome gentleman. She is enamored by his charm and ignores the warnings offered by others about this man's character. Is he the handsome man-of-the-world he portrays himself to be, or is he the scoundrel that others say that he is?
I believe that any reader will find the same enjoyment that I did in "Elizabeth's Encounters". This is the author's fourth book, all of which are available on amazon.com.Elizabeth's Encounters Overview
