In Our Own Sweet Time: A Story of Kids from the Forties ReviewI am Karlene's husband and this book was purchased for me for my birthday. The reason being is that this book was written about my neighborhood! George (Bucky) Wratney did such a spectacular job of depicting what our neighborhood was like and what growing up in that era was like. After reading the book, I called George and we reminisced. So many memories flooded back to me from our childhood. When I saw the name of Wayne on the cover, I was somewhat taken aback, but soon found out that it was the OTHER Wayne in the neigborhood. A fantastic and totally truthful book. Thanks Buck!
