Cupcake Company ReviewDo NOT buy this book..what a rip off. ($25 for 1/4" worth of NOTHING!) Mostly what you will get is basic common sense in running any business..that they took and TRIED to apply to the cupcake business. I am a pastry chef with experience in the field and I can tell you the numbers DO NOT and WILL NOT add up. I actually went back to see when it was published.. the costs were so below reality. What a pathetic book.. this publisher obviously just takes a basic business concept and TRIES to make it apply to a business they know NOTHING about to sell books. I seriously could have written a better one myself with more pertinent information for success. Buy a good business plan software and you'll get more out of it. Business Plan Pro has a great set up they walk you through. I was looking for more detail (marketing, bookkeeping, etc..) in this book... only to find it just SKIMS the surface in any area. Equiptment costs are a joke.. so UNREALISTIC! No contact info for suppliers, etc.. useless! If your curious..skim it through in a bookstore.. and see for yourself. Don't waste your money. Might be good for a kindergartener wanting to sell cupcakes instead of lemonade from their front yard.Cupcake Company Overview

Start a Cupcake Business Today ReviewI was rather impressed by the events of recent days. What began as a disappointing purchase, turned into something with which I am very satisfied.
A few days ago I wrote a review of the Kindle version of this book and rated it 1 star. Not due to the advice contained in the book, but to the fact that the Kindle-version of the book was not properly formatted. Tables and bulleted lists were jumbled and impossible to understand.
Within 24 hours the author contacted me and corrected the book's Kindle formatting. I am quite happy now that I can read the book as it was intended to be read. Not only was Paula helpful and professional in her communication with me, but her book provides a great overview of the ins and outs of starting a bakery for someone like me who has worked in but never managed a bakery. I read it cover to cover in a few hours.
This is my revised review for the latest Kindle version of the book. At just a fraction of the cost of the print version, frankly it's a steal.Start a Cupcake Business Today Overview
