Talk Nerdy to Me ReviewThis book is such a riot. It is the first Nerd book that I've read, and I immediately went out and bought all the others. So far I've read Nerds like it Hot, and My Nerdy Valentine, and this one is still the funniest.
This author writes with so much humor, that you are almost laughing at every page. The secondary characters are funny. In this case, there is a kinky neighbor, who tells people she was abducted by an alien and learned other-wordly sexual techniques. At the same time all the characters are 'normal' in the sense that they have normal human faults and insecurities. That's part of what makes the series so enjoyable - the very humanness of the characters.
The premise of the story is that there is this beautiful model, who is also a genius at aerodynamics, who gets into a little bit of trouble with her advanced design on a hovercraft. The dichotomy between her being so gorgeous, and so nerdy at the same time was wonderful. Highly recommended. I've never laughed so much reading a romance novel.Talk Nerdy to Me Overview

Seriously Serendipity (A Holiday Romantic Comedy) (Christmas in Miller's Village) ReviewSanta Claus has come to town, and he's moving in on Camille's grandma. He's also brought along his grandson, and once he and Camille meet sparks fly. Not an issue if they weren't ultimately made to work together to save Santa's bakery.
There's lots of slapstick, lots of snark, and lots of funny. I'll just say I agree with others here and say it's cute. Go girl power.
That being said, I'm a huge fan of Shopaholic and Bitter is the New Black, so I'm all about strong personalities and quirk in my main characters. Not everyone is. Just be forewarned.

Here again, we find Hannah coping with the brutal Minnesota winter when the unthinkable happens. Hannah finds a body! The local high school coach and secret wife beater is found dead face down in Hannah's strawberry shortcake. His wife certainly has a motive, but is she the real killer? The police are inclined to think so, but Hannah certainly does not. With the aide of her sister, Andrea, she sets out to find the real killer. Many suspenseful twists and turns follow as Hannah and Andrea proceed on their relentless mission to free an innocent woman. Will they succeed and find the real killer? Only in the last few chapters will you find out the answer to this riddle.
Once again, author Joanne Fluke has surpassed herself with another excellent novel. The cozy and inviting atmosphere found in the first novel continues here against the backdrop of the cruel Minnesota cold. Many delicious recipes are included so you can share the experience right along with Hannah and her friends. Her strained relationship with her mother continues as her friendship with Norman grows and her closeness to her sister Andrea deepens. The novel keeps you in suspense right up until the very end providing an exhilarating mystery ride. This is a novel not to be missed. Very highly recommended.
